The former Jersey Shore star was taken into custody after getting into a physical altercation at his Boca Tanning Salon, in Middletown, NJ, on Tuesday, TMZ reported.

According to authorities, police were called to the scene after a reported "fist fight" broke out between two people inside Sorrentino's tanning salon.

The brawl was reportedly between Sorrentino and his brother Frank, who were disagreeing over how they should run their family business. However, the former reality TV star was the only one to get arrested.

Sorrentino, who had also appeared on Dancing with the Stars' eleventh season, was later photographed leaving the police station with a big black eye. He posted $500 bail, according to TMZ.

TVGN announced in late March it had picked up The Sorrentinos, a new reality series starring the former Jersey Shore star and his family. The network began production within days of the order announcement.
