Michael J. Fox discussed what it was like juggling filming for Back to the Future and Family Ties in an interview that aired on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Tuesday.
"The teamsters come pick me up, throw me in the shower, get me a cup of coffee," Fox recalled.
He said he'd have his coffee in the shower working on Family Ties and then grab a milkshake on the way to the Back to the Future set, surviving on three to four hours of sleep for three months.
"I was 23 years old and I was too stupid to know better," Fox said.
The actor, 64, stopped by The Late Show Tuesday to promote his new memoir Future Boy, which debuted Oct. 14.Back to the Future opened in 1985, followed by the sequel in 1989 and the third film in 1990.
In an interview with Good Morning America earlier this month, Fox said the Back to the Future movies are still relevant today because of the "bully culture" we live in.
