Maurissa Gunn has stood up for herself and fired back at trolls criticizing her for taking her physical relationship with Riley Christian to the next level at the end of their first one-on-one date on Bachelor in Paradise's seventh season.

In a video Maurissa posted, she was wearing a "Sex Positive" T-shirt and answered fan questions, including how "yes" she loves sex and "no" she doesn't regret anything she said on the show.
Maurissa also confirmed she still loves sex and doesn't care what people think about her choices, adding that she will continue to remain true herself.
Maurissa captioned the video in a lengthy post, "First off, I do want to say thank you to those who have been showing so much love and support. I know the video is all fun and games, but I do think something needs to be clarified."
"I don't need to explain what I said, because I said it with conviction... However, there are other women that may not be as nonchalant or as indifferent as I am, to handle the kind of criticism that I've been receiving, and it's not okay."
Maurissa -- who said she had never been on a date prior to her romantic and steamy evening with Riley in Paradise -- insisted there is nothing wrong with being open about one's sex life.
"To my next point, it's OK FOR WOMEN TO LIKE SEX! Sex is a 2 person act, so there shouldn't be a double standard regarding which gender can openly like it, and which gender should be timid about their enjoyment," Maurissa wrote.
"What's even harder to believe is that the majority of the negativity and hate is coming from women. It's already hard enough being a woman in today's society, so we as women should do everything to lift each other up rather than bring each other down."
"I hope this message is received with love and kindness," she concluded.

Riley has yet to publicly comment on Maurissa being sex shamed, but he did post sweet photos of them last week on Instagram.
In addition to a picture of Riley kissing Maurissa on the cheek, another photo captured their hilarious one-on-one date in which they adventurously tried different foods while playing a game of truths with guest co-host and former N'SYNC boyband member Lance Bass.
"That was something special," Riley wrote alongside the images.

Maurissa, however, gushed to Lance about how she loves sex, and Riley in turn was impressed by how Maurissa seemed open and willing to take risks.
"She's also a little bit of a freak too, and I like that," Riley shared. "She seems down for whatever... and the sexual tension is there. She's looking sexy as hell right now, and I just want it."
Maurissa revealed how she had once gained a lot of weight and was treated differently by others, which prompted Riley to assure the bachelorette that she's beautiful now and was probably just as beautiful then since she has a sweet soul.
Maurissa and Riley kissed after dinner, and she said the bachelor had exceeded her expectations. The couple boasted about their sexual chemistry as well, and it appeared Maurissa had moved on from her former fling with Connor Brennan on the beach.
After a steamy makeout session, Riley shared with Maurissa, "I know of a place where we can go."
Maurissa and Riley ended up in a bed together, and it appeared the couple advanced their relationship past the kissing stage in "The Boom Boom Room."
Prior to appearing on Bachelor in Paradise, Maurissa competed on Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor and was eliminated in Week 1.
As for Riley, he fell for Tayshia Adams on The Bachelorette's sixteenth season last year and was ousted before the men's round of hometown dates.
Bachelor in Paradise is set to air two more episodes this week on Monday and Tuesday night at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
