Married at First Sight stars Derek Sherman and Taylor Dunklin agree Zach Justice wasn't making a genuine effort by staying over Mindy Shiben's apartment for a night following "Recommitment Day."

Mindy and Zach chose to recommit to each other more than a month into the extreme experiment, but Mindy was only up for giving Zach a second chance if he'd be willing to move in with her, among other requests.

Zach, however, "moved in" with one T-shirt and one pair of socks, and then he opted to sleep in the apartment's guest bedroom away from Mindy.

During the March 25 broadcast of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, guests Derek, Taylor, and MAFS expert Dr. Viviana Coles laughed with the show's host, Jamie Otis, over what Zach chose to bring with him.

"So technically, yes, he's making an effort. Is it something that I think they can build off of? I mean, [I don't know]," Viviana said.

Jamie then asked Derek and Taylor to share their thoughts on whether they believed Zach was making a genuine effort in his marriage by spending the night with Mindy.

"I mean honestly, no, I don't think it's genuine, just because he didn't bring anything with him," Taylor explained.

"You brought stuff for a sleepover. We're not sleeping over; we're trying to make commitments."

Taylor continued, "It doesn't come off as genuine. You're not sharing [Mindy's] energy. It just seems like, 'I'm here because I have to do this. You asked me to do it, so here I am. Don't you see that I'm trying?! I'm here trying!'"

Taylor laughed, and then Derek agreed with Taylor's perspective.

"I think it all comes down to the followthrough after this -- stepping up to the plate is definitely the first step," Derek acknowledged.

"Yeah, I'll give him that," Jamie noted.

"But what happens after that? So I think this is good on Zach's part, though the genuineness, I feel like I'm stretching to say it is," Derek admitted.

Viviana then chimed in with, "This is the thing: [Zach is] going there but sleeping in a separate room, which -- if they're as okay as they are and there's that 'hope' -- makes me wonder if he's actually just not wanting to lead [Mindy] on or make her think it's more."

Viviana tried to give Zach the benefit of the doubt.

"Maybe he's trying to spare her feelings?" Viviana questioned.

"I don't know," Jamie replied. "Based on this whole season, it kind of seems he's been leading her on the whole time."

Jamie also said during the broadcast it didn't make sense for Zach to recommit to Mindy when he didn't seem attracted to or interested in his wife.

Other than one forced kiss during their honeymoon, Mindy complained Zach didn't hold her hand or spend time with her off camera. She said Zach wouldn't even carry her bags for her when traveling.

But in the latest episode of Married at First Sight that aired on Wednesday night, Mindy ended her marriage to Zach once and for all after she caught him in a lie.

Zach previously told Mindy a person at their wedding -- a friend of Mindy's ex-boyfriend -- had informed him that Mindy's ex wanted to pick her up from the airport after she honeymooned in Panama, but Mindy later discovered from her friend Shannie that Lindsay was likely the one who had snitched that information.

"I specifically asked you if the secret came from Lindsay," Mindy told Zach in the episode, recalling how Zach had insisted that wasn't the case. "And today, I found out that you did lie to me."

Mindy was already frustrated and felt disrespected by Zach and Lindsay's friendship that had blossomed behind her back, so this was the final straw for her.

"He's deliberately lying to me to protect Lindsay. I feel incredibly betrayed. Clearly he doesn't care about me or else he wouldn't have done that. I can't take that anymore," Mindy vented to the cameras.

Mindy later told her husband, "I told myself I was only going to let myself be disappointed like that one more time and that's it, so I can't subject myself to that. I'm sorry to say but I don't want to be in this marriage anymore."

Married at First Sight 10 also stars Derek's wife Katie Conrad, Taylor's husband Brandon Reid, Meka Jones and Michael Watson, and Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd.
