Married at First Sight star Ryan Oubre has revealed what's holding him back from consummating his marriage to Clara Berghaus.

On the April 7 broadcast of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered, Ryan and his MAFS co-star Briana Myles watched back a Season 12 clip of Ryan and Clara trying to improve their intimacy through a tantric-yoga session.
"Unfortunately, I'm not sure it did anything to bring us closer sexually," Clara admits in the clip. "And it is frustrating that I'm the only one trying."
Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who starred on Season 1 of Married at First Sight and also had a slow start to her marriage to Doug Hehner -- asked Ryan, "When it comes to consummating your marriage, Clara has voiced that she's more than ready to. So what's holding you back?"
"I don't know if there is, like, a perfect moment I'm looking for or anything like that," Ryan shared.
"I think it's just kind of when we both feel the moment is right."
Given Clara believed she was the only one in their relationship trying to advance their physical connection, Ryan insisted, "I don't think that I'm not trying."
"A relationship is like a two-way street, so I would never want Clara to do something that she felt uncomfortable with just because I wanted to do it," Ryan explained.
"I think both of us have to arrive to that conclusion together. So, no, I don't feel that way at all."

Briana then shared her thoughts on Clara and Ryan's tantric-yoga session.

"I thought it was kind of funny because I know them and they literally joke all the time," Briana said.
"Ryan said [during the session], 'Do you want to have a staring contest?!' That's his personality, and that's her personality too. So I don't know, it was quite funny."
Ryan was then asked what he thinks could bring him closer to Clara sexually.
"That's a good question," Ryan told Jamie. "I think time and getting to know each other. I think we both went in [to Married at First Sight] with the clear intention that this is a long-term thing."
Later in the Unfiltered episode, Ryan said Clara's desire to have sex was a constant conversation between them and he was well aware of her frustrations that she had vented to the other women in the cast.
"I think [Clara] has done a great job of expressing how she feels. If there's one thing that Clara doesn't do, she doesn't hide how she feels and she lets me know how she feels all the time," Ryan said.
"I feel like for me, personally, I had a good level or sense of her frustration, for sure."
On the latest Married at First Sight twelfth-season episode, Clara told Pastor Cal that she couldn't have imagined a better match for her than Ryan and the big surprise of her relationship was how well they were getting along.

"This is the best relationship I've ever had, for sure!" Clara gushed, adding that she was in love with Ryan.
Clara, however, expressed concern over how Ryan had never said "I love you" to a woman before and admitted she wanted to have sex with her husband, who had been very reserved in past relationships.
"Will you be okay if what you're doing now is all you will ever do?" Pastor Cal asked Clara.
"No," Clara replied.
When Clara and Ryan reunited after their individual meetings with the experts, Clara said she didn't want to push Ryan to be intimate if he didn't feel ready.
"I am a little sexually frustrated, but I also have a lot of respect for you," Clara shared.
Ryan reiterated how he wanted their first sexual encounter to be "meaningful and special," and he unfortunately couldn't give Clara a timeline on when it might happen.
