Married at First Sight star Keith Manley admits he was a bit taken aback by his wife Iris Caldwell's reaction when she found an empty condom box in the nightstand next to his bed.

"I was pretty surprised. I'm not going to lie," Keith said of Iris' reaction during a recent appearance on Married at First Sight: Unfiltered.
Iris simply didn't like what she had found and didn't know what to think.
Keith explained there were three condoms left and he had packed them in his suitcase for the wedding night and honeymoon, which resulted in the box being emptied.
After hearing Keith out, Iris eventually calmed down and convinced herself the past should stay in the past.
"I just had to level with her and kind of explain where the rest of them were -- the last three," Keith noted.
But Unfiltered host Jamie Otis reminded viewers it was a box of 15 condoms to begin with and only three remained. She therefore pointed out 12 condoms had been used prior to meeting Iris.
When Keith was asked whether any of those sexual encounters took place shortly before his wedding, Pastor Calvin Roberson joked, "You're on your own, buddy," and then Keith slyly responded, "I don't remember anything before the wedding day."
"Thanks," Keith said sarcastically with a smile.

When Iris cooled down after finding the empty box, she told her husband she wished they had been used on her down the road -- a comment which gave Keith hope she would eventually want to sleep with him.

Keith and Pastor Cal were also joined by Married at First Sight star Jamie Thompson on Unfiltered, who was asked to share his opinion on how Keith and Iris should navigate the whole virginity issue.
"That's really tough," Thompson replied. "I mean, how you do even begin to sort that out?"
"I think for me, communication is key and for Keith to ask, like, 'Iris, do you want to lose your virginity? I know we're married, but are you ready to take that step?' And she's got to be comfortable with that," Thompson elaborated.
Keith then acknowledged he and Iris did in fact discuss their expectations of sex in their marriage.
"She let me know it really depends on how fast we're comfortable with one another. It may take two weeks, three weeks -- it may take longer than the eight weeks that we have," Keith explained on Unfiltered.
"But for me, I really just want to put my best foot forward and trust the experts to do their thing too."
Thompson then admitted his Married at First Sight wife, Elizabeth Bice, probably would have acted "very similarly" to Iris had she found an empty box of condoms in his bedroom.

"If she had found that, she would've been jealous. And she probably would've played it off and thrown it around like, 'I don't care,' or something like that, but yeah, she'd be jealous."
Keith seemed to realize in that moment maybe Iris was a tad jealous as well.
"Looking at it now, now that Jamie mentioned it, that definitely could've been what was going on," Keith noted.
However, Keith also noted during the broadcast he wasn't ready to have sex with Iris yet at this point in the process.
Although viewers have come to the conclusion the decision has been up to Iris, Keith apparently wanted to take his time as well in choosing when to consummate their marriage.
In addition to Keith, Iris, Thompson and Elizabeth, Married at First Sight's currently-airing ninth season also stars Deonna McNeill and husband Gregory Okotie as well as Amber Bowles and husband Matthew Gwynne.
