Married at First Sight's 13th season ended with two of its five couples -- Gil Cuero and Myrla Feria as well as Rachel Gordillo and Jose San Miguel -- opting to stay married on Decision Day and Season 13's three remaining couples deciding to divorce during Wednesday night's finale broadcast on Lifetime.

While Ryan Ignasiak and Brett's decision to divorce was unanimous and featured both parties easily agreeing they wanted to end their marriage, Married at First Sight Season 13's remaining two divorce decisions were not.

When it was Johnny Lam and Bao Huong Hoang's turn to meet with Married at First Sight experts Pastor Calvin Roberson, Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Dr. Viviana Coles on Decision Day, Johnny Lam told Bao and the experts he wished to remain married.

"I'm a yes," he told Bao. "Let's see what happens without the cameras, without the lights, without the crew. Whatever consoling we need to do."

However, Bao didn't reciprocate Johnny's overture and revealed she wanted to end her marriage to Johnny.

"I thought this decision was -- I was sure, coming into today," she said. "I didn't anticipate how hard it would be."

"My answer is no, I want a divorce. Because I came into this for commitment and support, and I don't feel I got it, and I am so unhappy. And so much that I can't -- I can't trust that that will change here right now."

"Yeah... okay," Johnny whispered back, openly disappointed. "Okay."

When asked how he was feeling, Johnny told the experts he had figured "what was the harm in trying" to continue his marriage to Bao beyond Decision Day.

"There's nothing wrong with what you said," Pastor Cal said. "So I don't want you to feel as though you made a mistake by saying, 'I want to stay married.'"

"She's seen good moments, I've seen good moments -- why wouldn't she give it a shot?" Johnny said as the couple departed the Decision Day venue separately. "I mean was marriage really that bad? It hurts."

"It doesn't add up to me that suddenly on Decision Day he would want to work on it now if he hasn't been working on it for the past three weeks," Bao lamented in her own interview.

"And that's why I have to say 'no' -- because I don't trust anything that Johnny says. It's just too little, too late."

Zack Freeman and Michaela Clark's Decision Day reveal also unfolded similarly, with Michaela saying she wanted to remain married but Zack revealing he wanted to divorce Michaela but still proceed with his previously mentioned plan to continue dating.

"I want to stay married," Michaela revealed after she pledged to "work very hard" to resolve her "Hurricane Kay" anger management behavior that she now realized was "not okay" and been a major issue in the couple's marriage.

"I want to see what the future looks like for us."

However, Zack didn't reciprocate Michaela's desire to continue their relationship while still married.

"I want to get a divorce," he said.

"But it's not a bad thing. When I say, 'I want to get a divorce,' I want to divorce the last eight weeks that we've experienced. I'm willing to see where this goes."

Zack's comments left the Married at First Sight experts struggling to understand his thinking.

"[I] don't know to interpret this... you've got a rejection of what you've been through and you're making plans to try and still be together and work things out, right?," Dr. Pepper asked.

"I don't know what we're going to do, it's not that easy for us to say, 'This is what we're going to do, we're going to live together, we're going to work on this, this, and that,'" Zack replied.

"Zack... I don't think you are communicating this in a way that's palatable to her, and I think you're putting a nail in the coffin and you don't even realize it," Pastor Cal told Zack as Michaela nodded in agreement.

"That's what's so mind boggling to me about this whole thing," Zack lamented.

"I don't get why it's so mind boggling," Pastor Cal replied. "All your wife wanted was to know whether or not you want to be married to her after today. Understanding that the past, you want to divorce from it. But going forward, do you want to be married to this woman?"

"Do you want to stay married to me going forward, yes or no?" Michaela asked.

"No," Zack insisted. "Because that means to me [that] I'm not divorcing the past. I am not rejecting you, I'm not going to change my actions toward you, I still want to see where this goes. None of that is changing. But I have to say I want a divorce."

"To hear you say, 'I don't want to remain married to you,' it's kind of like... that doesn't make sense to me, that doesn't give me encouragement," Michaela told Zack.

"I guess I'm being selfish here," Zack said. "It's more for me to feel better basically."

"I do want to stay married to see what the future looks like as married people, right?" Michaela told Zack.

"But while I hear all those beautiful things from you Zack, I really do, I also hear that when we get up and walk out of here, you're a man who wants a divorce from his wife and I'm a woman who wanted to continue to fight for a marriage."

As the couple departed the Decision Day venue separately, Zack still seemed confused about Michaela's viewpoint.

"You know I thought we were on the same page, I thought she understood where I was coming from but it seemed like she must have forgotten what I meant," he said.  "I said what I said.  I said what I said."

"I would have been more comforted if he'd said that he wanted to stay married, and I think I would have had a little more encouragement to do -- start over at the beginning," Michaela said in a separate interview.

"But now I literally have no encouragement at all. What's the point of like doing stuff going forward -- what's a new beginning? You want to date now? You're single now? I it does change the dynamic -- and that's stupid to me. And I'm not doing that."

Part 1 of Married at First Sight's two-part Season 13 reunion will air on Lifetime on Wednesday, November 17 at 8PM ET/PT, revealing new updates on the status of the season's couples several months after Decision Day.
