Married at First Sight expert Dr. Viviana Coles has dropped a bombshell in suggesting maybe Katie Conrad seemed obsessed with the fact Derek wasn't falling in love with her because she was reflecting her own personal feelings onto him.

Katie was therefore concerned Derek might never love her, especially since she was vulnerable and starting to really care about him.
But it wasn't the first time Katie had addressed Derek's past as a red flag, and Derek thought it was "bullsh-t" she kept voicing the same concern given he didn't think it was odd to not have found love or his perfect match by age 27.
"I kind of do think it is B-S," Unfiltered host Jamie Otis told Viviana.
"I think she may be so fixated on that because she's not feeling that," Viviana revealed.
"I think it's possible that she's not feeling it and it scares her because she has been able to experience it early on in relationships. But this is a marriage, and they have time to grow in that!"
Viviana reasoned, "And maybe for [Katie], it hasn't followed the same pace and so that's scaring her. She might just be freaking out and taking it out on him."
Jessica admitted the clip was "hard to watch" for her.
"I think Derek really does want love. And it kind of seems like she's comparing -- if you've had these feelings before, you want those feelings so badly, and she wants those feelings with Derek, I think," Jessica said.
"But then if you're like, 'Well, if he's never had these [feelings], he doesn't know what to expect.' I feel for both of them."

Jamie agreed it was "really hard to watch."
Married at First Sight's tenth season so far has shown Katie and Derek having one of the more solid relationships out of the five couples who tied the knot.
Not only did they have instant chemistry and seem to hit it off immediately, but Katie and Derek also consummated their marriage during their honeymoon and developed great communication skills.
However, Katie worried she was going to fall hard for her husband only for him to reject her later on and realize he couldn't love her. Katie had been crushed by men in the past, and she didn't want to feel that pain again.
"I don't f-cking know what's going to happen at the end of this," Derek said in a recent MAFS episode, before storming off with frustration. "I think it's f-cked up it's being held against me."
However, Derek later apologized to Katie for snapping at her, and Katie expressed how she was sorry for bringing up the same issue all the time.
Derek at least acknowledged he had "a crush" on Katie and felt optimistic about where their relationship was headed -- and Katie did too, as long as Derek promised not to lose his temper like that again.

"I don't want to break your heart," Derek noted. "But don't break mine."
In the latest episode, Derek planned a wine and painting date for Katie to show he was in their marriage for the long haul. Derek admitted he had become complacent with things in their relationship and should never stop putting effort in to show how much he cares.
"While I may not love her right now, I need to show her that my feelings are growing stronger every day," Derek shared in a confessional.
Katie wanted Derek to fight for her and maybe even get a little scared he could lose her, and Derek agreed that should be his approach.
"I'm at the point where I'm saying, like, 'Screw everything else and I'm going to win you over.' What I know is that I want to make you fall in love with me," Derek told his wife.
