Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul are definitely over, considering Grodd continues to spill more unflattering details of their failed marriage.

"Looking back now, it just seems like [Lacy] became a different person. Her priorities changed, what she wanted in life changed. She was just a very different person from when I first met and got engaged to," Grodd told People.

"It became a toxic relationship at times. She was very controlling. I was more of an appeasing person. I wouldn't want to fight. There were a lot of barriers that we couldn't overcome. I think that that made her change her mind."

Grodd proposed to Faddoul on the first-season finale of Bachelor in Paradise and they wed in June 2015 in a ceremony that aired two months later on the series' Season 2 premiere. The pair tied the knot on their one-year anniversary on June 4, 2015 in Mexico, with Bachelor in Paradise host Chris Harrison officiating the ceremony.

In an interesting turn of events, Grodd revealed last month the couple never got a marriage license upon their return home, however, they intended to make their marriage official in front of close friends and family once Grodd finished his training for the Marines.

"When I came back, it was just a very different situation with her," Grodd admitted. "It was kind of like postponing our plans. That was the drop of our relationship."

For starters, Grodd revealed Faddoul "didn't want to live together anymore."

"She wanted to be able to take time apart again," he told People. "Things just drastically changed after I got back. It wasn't the best situation to start planning a ceremony here in California."

While Faddoul had made it known she wanted to start a family right away, Grodd insisted her "perspective on kids has changed."

"I don't whether it was me or just in general, she negated wanting to have kids at this point in our lives," he explained. "I don't know if it was because of me or we were in that relationship and she didn't see it with me or just as a long-term thing."

He also told Life & Style last month that he found "flirtatious" text messages in her phone, which sparked trust issues.

Grodd said he pulled out all the stops in attempt to convince Faddoul to stay in the relationship.

"At the time, I thought, 'That's what I wanted, and it'll get better," Grodd told the magazine.

"I was trying to do everything in the book -- send her flowers every day, buy her presents, take her to dinner. It seemed like everything was on my end. There was no effort on her end with the relationship. That's the only thing I regret doing is trying to force it... trying to appease her and trying to get her back in a sense."

At this point, Grodd has allegedly not seen Faddoul in over two months.

"I think Lacy and I are done for good," Grodd said. "From what I've seen of her the past six months, 10 months, a year, that's not the woman I want to have my kids with and have a family with. I think it's good and gone."

The pair appeared on Bachelor in Paradise after Grodd was rejected by Andi Dorfman on The Bachelorette and Faddoul was cut from Juan Pablo Galavis' The Bachelor season. They were the only couple to wed out of Season 1.
