A third live-action Gremlins movie is set for theatrical release in 2027.

The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline reported the news Thursday.

Steven Spielberg is executive producing the film for Warner Bros., while Chris Columbus will produce and direct it.

No casting has been announced yet.

Columbus penned the original 1984 film about adorable pets who spawn dangerous creatures when they get wet or are fed after midnight.

Gremlins 2: The New Batch followed in 1990 and two seasons of an animated prequel series aired from 2023 to 2025.

Other upcoming sequels based on '80s movies include Blade Runner 2099 and a Labyrinth sequel.
