Leslie Carter has passed away from undisclosed causes at age 25.

"Our family is grieving right now and it's a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter," the Carter family said in a statement obtained by E! News.

"We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time."

Carter reportedly died on Tuesday in upstate New York, but no further details regarding the cause of her death have been released. 

Carter co-starred in E!'s House of Carters reality series along with brother and Backstreet Boys member Nick, brother and singer Aaron and her two sisters Bobbie and Angel in 2006.

The aspiring singer, who got married in 2008, also leaves behind her husband Mike and daughter Alyssa Jane -- whom the couple had welcomed in April of last year, according to E! News.
