Former child actor John Eiman died Friday at age 76. Publicist Harlan Boll sent his obituary to the media on behalf of Eiman's family on Monday.
He was discovered in a Los Angeles Kindergarten class at age 6. Later, he played Cadet Monk Roberts on McKeever and the Colonel.
Other guest spots included The Twilight Zone, Have Gun - Will Travel, Wagon Train, Petticoat Junction, The Lloyd Bridges Show and more. Eiman played Jane Wyman's son in a pilot for Dr. Kate, but it was aired as a TV movie.
While acting, Eiman was also a model, appearing in campaigns for Carnation drinks. After acting, Eiman became a singer/songwriter.
He taught English and performed in Japan for 10 years, where he married his wife, Midori. They have two sons, Daniel and Chris.Later, he spent 25 years as a flight attendant and retired at 71. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October and died of it in Mukilteo, Wash.
