NBC's "Las Vegas" star Nikki Cox and actor/comedian Jay Mohr announced their engagement Friday.

The couple met when Mohr guest-starred on "Las Vegas" during its second season, Zap2it.com reported.

Mohr, 35, has a son from his previous marriage to model Nicole Chamberlain.

Cox was once engaged to comic Bobcat Goldthwait, but has not been married.

In addition to "Las Vegas," Cox appeared in the WB sitcom "Unhappily Ever After" and was a regular on ABC's "General Hospital."

Mohr is a "Saturday Night Live" alumnus who starred in the sitcom "Action" and was host of NBC's "Last Comic Standing."

His film credits include "Jerry Maguire,""Go,""Pay It Forward" and "Seeing Other People." He will be seen this summer in "The Groomsmen."
