Khloe Kardashian probably never thought she'd be able to walk with Lamar Odom again after his near-fatal drug overdose, but her estranged husband has beaten the odds.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kocktails with Khloe star was photographed with Odom for the first time in public since his health crisis began in October of last year.

The couple was spotted together in Los Angeles boarding a private jet that was New York City-bound on Wednesday night, People reported.

Odom reportedly wanted to attend Kanye West's Yeezy Season 3 Fashion Show in New York at Madison Square Garden on Thursday. Kardashian had noted her "entire family" was there as well and she had "fear of missing out" because her shooting schedule for Kocktails with Khloe gave her very limited travel time.

West visited Odom often at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center during his recovery, playing rough cuts of his new music for the former NBA player. Odom started remembering lyrics after a while and feels the rapper greatly contributed to his condition improving, according to TMZ. Odom was therefore desperate to attend West's fashion event as a way to show he "loves and supports" him in return.

Odom, 36, currently lives in a leased house in the same gated community as Kardashian, People reported, and he receives therapy both at Cedars-Sinai and at home.

"Khloe continues to look after him," a source told the magazine. "Khloe visits him at his house and Lamar hangs out at hers... Whenever he leaves the house, he looks happy. He looks alert and often smiles. He is definitely looking more like the old Lamar."

Another insider revealed Odom can "move around alone" now and can "communicate much better."

"He knows how much Khloe has been there for him, and he is so grateful," the insider added. "The therapy can be incredibly frustrating and he has hard moments, but Lamar is a former athlete. He's strong. And he really wants to get better."
