Lamar Odom will not be charged in connection with his October 13 drug overdose in a Nevada brothel.

Odom has been recovering for months, ever since he was found unconscious at the Bunny Love Ranch near Las Vegas and doctors confirmed he had a near-fatal mixture of cocaine and herbal Viagra in his system.

Although "evidence showed Mr. Odom had metabolized cocaine in his system while he was present in Nye County in October of 2015, he was not found in the possession of cocaine and it is unlikely it could established beyond a reasonable doubt he actually ingested, or was impaired by, the drug during the time he was within the jurisdiction of Nye County," a spokesperson for the Nye County District Attorney told E! News on Monday.

According to TMZ, it's rare prosecutors will charge an individual for being under the influence when he or she ends up in the hospital.

Odom was released from Cedars-Sinai medical center in Los Angeles last week thanks to estranged wife Khloe Kardashian, who reportedly moved him in secret to avoid making a scene. He's now seeking treatment at a private facility near Kardashian's home.

Odom still has a long road ahead of him despite major improvement -- including the ability to speak and walk on his own. When Kardashian was first notified of Odom's condition, doctors told the reality star he only had four hours left to live.
