Kim Zolciak has undergone successful heart surgery.

The Season 21 Dancing with the Stars contestant and Don't Be Tardy star went under the knife this week after discovering she had a hole in her heart that caused the mini-stroke she suffered in September.

On Tuesday morning, Zolciak posted a selfie of herself smiling in her hospital bed while recovering from the operation.

"My [heart] surgery was a success!! I can't wait to be back on my feet 100%! Glad it's over!" she captioned the photo.

"Quite the whirlwind this last month has been...but such a blessing too. #MyFamilyHasBeenAmazing #TheFalconsHaveBeenSoSupportive #GodIsIncredible #Blessed #Grateful #ThankYouToMyDoctorsAndNurses #AmazingTeam."

Atlanta Falcons player Kroy Biermann's wife was nervous about her heart surgery but had faith in her "amazing" doctor whom she called one of the "top cardiologists in the country." She came to the conclusion the risk of surgery was less intimidating than being on blood thinners for the rest of her life, E! News reported.

"Anything that has to do with you heart and brain is pretty scary, but heck, I've been through it. I'm okay," Zolciak, a mother of six children, told E! News.

Zolciak reportedly had a blood clot related to the genetic heart condition she was born with. Once she shockingly suffered a mini-stroke, Zolciak and her pro partner Tony Dovolani were forced to withdraw from Dancing with the Stars.

However, Zolciak, who previously starred on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, was still relieved to have escaped complications during the birth of her twins or plastic surgery.

"I'm so glad the surgery is over and we can put it behind us. My mom will be back to herself in no time. She's already been drinking her Starbucks -- through a straw!" said Zolciak's daughter Brielle Biermann.

"You really don't realize how precious life is and how something can just -- it literally happened in a second and my whole life changed," Zolciak explained.
