Kim Kardashian has apparently accepted that her third child must be carried by a surrogate.

During Sunday night's Keeping Up with the Kardashians episode, Kim underwent a procedure to hopefully enable her body to carry another child if she attempts to conceive again with husband Kanye West. She had explained to her family that the operation was designed to repair her uterus and remove scar tissue.

"I'm not sure it's worth it," Kim's mother Kris Jenner said in a confessional. "I'd very much like Kim to have another baby, but I'm worried about Kim having another baby."

"Having more kids is definitely going to be a struggle," Kim admitted. "I've gone through so much with really bad deliveries that the doctors don't feel like it's safe for me to conceive again myself. This surgery is really the one last thing I can try. I want my kids to have siblings and I want to know that I did everything I could to make this happen."

However, a doctor told Kim there were complications during the surgery and it didn't work out as planned.

"So there's a complication with my bladder I had to have a catheter," Kim said while sitting in the hospital. "It's super painful and frustrating."

Kim then told the cameras, "Kanye and I have always talked about having more kids, but after what I went through in Paris, the urgency is even greater."

The mom of North, 3, and Saint, 16 months, was bound, gagged and robbed at gunpoint in Paris in October 2016, a traumatizing event that put the meaning of life into perspective for the reality TV star.

Later in the KUWTK episode last night, Kim discussed her surgery with friend Jonathan Cheban.

"I can't carry anymore kids... it's the worst," Kim revealed to Jonathan. "It's not going to be happy for me... I had a full break down... I give up."

Kim then revealed to sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian in a subsequent conversation that she and Kanye are leaning toward surrogacy.

"After everything I went through, the surgery wasn't successful and didn't do anything," Kim vented. "Kanye was really nervous about the surgery... but I know he would want to have more kids. I feel like surrogacy is the only option for me."

Kim continued in a confessional, "Kanye and I are going to look into other options and see what we are comfortable with. I'm definitely leaning towards I want to try [surrogacy]... I always knew surrogacy was an option, now it's my reality. Whatever is meant to be will be."
