About a month after the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and her boyfriend Kanye West welcomed a baby girl into the world, Kardashian is opening up about being a new parent.

"These past couple of weeks have been filled with the most exciting experiences of my life," Kardashian wrote on her website Wednesday.

"I'm enjoying this time to fully embrace motherhood and spend time at home with my family. I've been reading all of your messages and want to thank you all for your sweet thoughts and best wishes. It truly means everything to me. I am so blessed to have the support of my family and fans in this beautiful moment. Xo."

Kardashian has been surprisingly mum since North was born at Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on June 15 prematurely but in reported good health. Speculation behind Kardashian's apparent attempt to avoid the spotlight is that West is adamant about the couple's privacy and keeping their daughter away from cameras.

"Kanye has stepped up more than anyone expected," a source told Us of the rapper. "He loves being a daddy and he's so supportive of Kim."

Kardashian also "can't believe how maternal she is on her own," another source added.
