Khloe Kardashian says she did not originally want to star her own spinoff reality show that chronicles her marriage to Lamar Odom, but her husband pushed for it.

"I personally didn't want to do the show, not because I -- I love taping -- I just didn't want to put Lamar through that pressure and Lamar was like, 'Let's do it! Everyone keeps asking. Let's do it,'" Kardashian said during an appearance on Tuesday's broadcast of The Ellen DeGeneres show.

The Khloe & Lamar stars got married in September 2009 ceremony after dating for only a few weeks, and Kardashian admitted she was worried the always-present cameras would put stress on their new life as a married couple.

"It's a lot. I knew from doing my family's show how intense and grueling and how much they're really in your face," the Keeping Up with the Kardashians and former Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami star explained.

However, after Kardashian agreed to the show and began filming, Odom experienced his own change of heart and wanted to quit the project.

"I thought it was going to be easy. It was really tough," Kardashian's NBA basketball star husband said. "I'm a competitor by nature. I was like, 'I can do that! That's easy!' And three days into it, I was like, 'Do we have to finish?'" Odom told Ellen DeGeneres.

"He asked and said, 'Could you tell your mom to get us out of this contract?' I go, 'Absolutely not!'" Kardashian explained. "I go, 'Nope. That ship has sailed. I told you.' Lamar's great and he loves the finished product and we have really expensive home videos made, basically, but it is. It's intense,"

The reality TV stars agreed that filming their Khloe & Lamar series has not only been a slight burden on their relationship, but has also been a huge time commitment.

"We filmed a minimum of 12 and a max of 18 hours a day... seven [days a week]," Kardashian said.

However, Odom has been able to catch a break, as there is one aspect of his life the cameras have not been allowed to document.

"Lamar doesn't film on game days. Lamar never films on a game day and if he's too tired after a long practice, they won't have him film, but that means that I have to pick up the pace. The crew still has to make their salary and their money," Kardashian added.
