The first-season winner of American Idol announced on Twitter Thursday she gave birth to a son on April 12.

"Our little baby boy has arrived!!" Clarkson, 33, tweeted. "Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16 & he is healthy & we couldn't be happier or more in love!"

Remington Alexander joins Clarkson and Blackstock's 22-month-old daughter River Rose.

Clarkson revealed she was pregnant with Baby No. 2 during a late August 2015 concert at Los Angeles' Staples Center. Clarkson was just so emotional and had to stop singing in the middle of a song. Her announcement even came as a surprise to her husband.

Clarkson also memorably broke down crying during her performance of "Piece By Piece" during American Idol's farewell season.

"I didn't realize it was gonna be that bad," the singer told Ellen DeGeneres after the performance, according to People. "[Brandon] was [at Idol], my little girl was there, my little boy was turning circles in my stomach. It was nostalgic. It was the last time I was gonna be on Idol and it's ending. I was screwed from the get-go."

Clarkson joked, "Emotionally, I was on a slip and slide from hell."

Clarkson performed a medley of all her hits during Idol's fifteenth-season finale, however, it was pre-taped due to the fact she was expecting to go into labor at any time.

Clarkson and Blackstock wed in 2013 after getting engaged the year prior. She then became a stepmother to Savannah and Seth, whom Blackstock had from a previous marriage.
