Jay is a 27-year-old real estate agent and former bartender from Fort Lauderdale, FL. He embraces a surfer-like attitude in life, meaning he just likes to ride the waves and see what happens! He also loves the ocean and all activities pertaining to it.

Jay will be playing on the Vanua (Millennials) Tribe when the franchise's 33rd season premieres with a special 90-minute episode on Wednesday, September 21 at 8PM ET/PT on CBS.

Jay is convinced his castmates on Survivor will fall in love with him because he's so charming, so we'll see if that happens. All we know for now is that he has a similar look and vibe as Joe Anglim from Survivor: Worlds Apart and Cambodia. Want to learn more about Jay?

Below is a list of 7 facts Reality TV World has compiled about Justin "Jay" Starrett:

- Jay isn't cool with people pushing religion on himself or others. He once found himself in that position with an ex-girlfriend's family.

- If he could describe himself in three words, they would be determined, intelligent and funny. But if he could add more words to that list, he'd choose positive and humble. He also has a manipulative side.

- Jay's inspiration in life is his mother, whom he calls a "little Peruvian soldier" and his "hero." She has overcome past divorces and health issues, including 10 brain aneurysms and six surgeries.

- The future castaway's pet peeves include people who make plans or say they're going to do something but do not follow through and deliver.

- His personal claim to fame is purchasing a house at age 25.

- The former Survivor castaways he'd compare himself to are Russell Hantz and Woo Hwang. He said he'll be observant and backstab others with a smile on his face.

- Jay's reason for appearing on Survivor is that sometimes he takes things for granted, so he wants to strip himself of all the comforts, be one with nature again, and play to win.
