Jonathan Bailey has been named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2025.

The 37-year-old Wicked: For Good actor was announced as this year's steamy honoree during an appearance Monday on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

"Every time I come here, something more ridiculous happens," Bailey told Fallon after the audience learned who'd been given the title this year.

"In 2025, you just think, I'm sort of thrilled that People magazine have sort of invited someone in to bestow this honor on someone who can really cherish the value of a sexy man," Bailey, who Fallon introduced as having worn "slutty glasses" in Jurassic World: Rebirth earlier this year, told the talk show host.

In an interview with People, Bailey, who has been acting since age 7, said he realized he'd made it sometime in 2020 when the Netflix hit Bridgerton was reaching critical mass and he was woken up by a radio host on his alarm clock saying his name.

"I was like, 'Where is my journal? Is this real?' it was wild," Bailey said.

After playing Lord Anthony Bridgerton on Bridgerton, Bailey was nominated for an Emmy for his work on the Showtime series Fellow Travelers.

In 2024, Bailey hit the big screen as Fiyero in Wicked and also played the role of a concerned but amazed dinosaur expert in this year's massive Jurassic World sequel.

Bailey told the magazine that he is "incredibly flattered" by the honor even though "it's completely absurd."

He also said his five-year journey to superstardom has caught him somewhat off guard and he is still getting used to it.

"You get to a point where you look back and you go, 'Wow,' but you never for a second think that's where you're headed," he said. "You know, to be able to do things that you dream of."
