Joan Rivers has apparently taken a step forward in her recovery.

According to daughter Melissa Rivers, Joan "has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable," Extra reported.

Melissa, 46, also said in her Wednesday statement, "Thank you for your continued support."

Joan, who starred in the reality series Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best with her daughter and also competed against Melissa on The Celebrity Apprentice's second season in 2009, remains at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Six days ago, the 81-year-old Fashion Police host and comedian underwent a minor throat procedure on her vocal cord and suddenly stopped breathing. She was reportedly placed in a medically-induced coma to stabilize her condition yet was taken out of the coma on Sunday, according to Extra.
