"Jersey Shore" cast member Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has broken up with Jionni LaValle, her boyfriend of about eight months, a source told UsMagazine.com.

"They broke up," the insider said, adding the split followed LaValle's visit to Italy where Polizzi is shooting Season 4 of "Jersey Shore" with her cast mates.

"[He] came home early," the source told UsMagazine.com without elaborating why.
