Whitney delivered her first performance of Roxie Hart, kickstarting her six-week engagement in the musical Chicago that ends on March 15, People reported.
Whitney's husband Conner was in the audience to support her as well as childhood friends and most of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast, who also attended the afterparty.
But Demi was a no-show on Whitney's opening night. Out of the nine original The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast members, she was the only one who was absent.
Though Demi couldn't be there in person, she made sure to give Whitney a shout-out on social media.
Alongside a photo of the two women, Demi wrote, "Today's the day!! Break a leg Roxie Hart!!!"
And after the curtain call, Demi reposted a People video to her Instagram Stories of Whitney giving her final bows, adding, "My girl!!!"
Meanwhile, fans are still waiting to find out whether Demi will be a part of Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which premieres March 12 on Hulu.
Rumors have been swirling that Demi is done with the popular reality series.
Demi frustrated many cast members on the show's third season, and she told People in December that potentially reprising her role on Season 4 is a "big decision" that she doesn't take "lightly."
"I have had wonderful experiences doing the show," Demi shared at the time.
"I've had moments that I didn't appreciate and where it felt like it maybe wasn't a good fit for me, but it's definitely something that I'm considering."

At the time, Demi confirmed that Hulu had asked her to come back.
"[The opportunity has] been extended to me... We'll see," she noted.
Hulu fueled speculation Demi won't be starring on The Secret Live of Mormon Wives when the first Season 4 trailer was released and Demi was nowhere to be found in the footage.
Whitney reportedly had an afterparty at the Glass House Tavern that will likely be featured on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives because guests had to sign a digital waiver before entering and there were cameramen and boom-mic operators present.
Whitney recently teased that The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives viewers will also see behind-the-scenes footage of her experience on Dancing with the Stars.
"People are going to be able to see behind the scenes of my Dancing with the Stars journey, which I think is really cool," Whitney shared.
"Not a lot of people have been able to see that, so I'm excited."
