MTV has announced the fourth season of Jersey Shore will premiere on Thursday, August 4 at 10PM ET/PT, while the show's fifth season will begin production in June.

The cast of Jersey Shore took Florence, Italy by storm in the reality TV show's fourth installment, which began filming in mid-May and features the roomates traveling abroad to learn more about Italian culture. They are currently wrapping up filming in the country. 

One week before the fourth-season premiere, MTV will air a one-hour special that will recap Jersey Shore's first three seasons on Thursday, July 28 at 10PM ET/PT.

The special broadcast will feature footage from some of the series' fan-favorite and most memorable moments and include new interviews with the cast, providing commentary on the three editions. 

The fifth season of Jersey Shore will return to the show's roots and begin filming in Seaside Heights, NJ, later this month.
