"Casper signed a non-disclosure/confidentiality agreement when he began working for Jennifer Lopez, as she requires all of her employees to do," a source told RadarOnline.

The contract reportedly covers everything that happens on and off the work clock, meaning any interactions Lopez's employees have with her cannot be leaked to or discussed with the media.

"Jen has been around long enough to know that anyone she dates could possibly turn on her and choose to go to the press if the relationship sours. Casper had absolutely no qualms about signing the agreement, and has told Jen on multiple occasions that even if he didn't work for her, he would have signed the contract. Jen loves him even more for that," said the source.

The former American Idol judge, who won't be returning for the show's upcoming twelfth season, and Smart started dating a few months following her separation from third husband and Latin singer Marc Anthony.

American Idol's next edition -- which will feature a new revamped four-person judging panel comprised of Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, country star Keith Urban, and returning judge Randy Jackson -- will premiere with a special two-night event on Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 17 at 8PM ET/PT.
