As its name suggests, Color Splash's new season will -- unlike its first six seasons, which were set in San Francisco -- take place in South Beach, Bromstad's hometown.

Following its debut, Color Splash: Miami will move to its regular Saturdays at 10PM ET/PT timeslot on June 19.

Despite the new setting, Color Splash will continue to follow Bromstad as he shows viewers how they can use color to enliven and invigorate their house by talking with homeowners and examining everything from their existing furniture and accessories to their clothing to get a sense of what colors inspire them.

"David's exuberant attitude and passion for design come to life in Color Splash: Miami," said HGTV programming executive Freddy James.

"He encourages homeowners to be more daring with their color choices and shows them how to successfully select and balance bold colors in their homes."

Color Splash: Miami's premiere will feature Bromstad helping Jose Sanchez and Dania Prieto transform their master bedroom by visiting the city's former Versace Mansion and using its courtyard, pool area and the dining area for inspiration. In addition, Bromstad will ask local Miami artisans to help create one-of-a-kind pieces for the bedroom.

In additoin to the Versace Mansion, Bromstad will also visit the Grass Lounge, The Betsy Hotel and the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens during Color Splash: Miami's season.

Bromstad won HGTV Design Star's Summer 2006 first season and Color Splash premiered the following March with him at the helm.
