Hannah explained that after her whirlwind journey on reality TV, the stress and exhaustion of it all started catching up to her during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.

"It really felt like everything was starting to manifest physically," Hannah shared during the Tuesday, May 6 episode of Maria Menounos' "Heal Squad" podcast.

Hannah recalled how her body was "so inflamed" and she constantly felt puffy, achy and sore.

Hannah found fame when she competed on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor.

The former Alabama beauty queen then starred on The Bachelorette's fifteenth season, which ended with a marriage proposal to aspiring country singer Jed Wyatt.

Hannah called off her engagement to Jed by the time her After the Final Rose special aired in July 2019, and then she had a confusing almost-relationship with her The Bachelorette runner-up Tyler Cameron.

Hannah also won Dancing with the Stars' 28th season in late 2019.

Hannah recalled how her condition worsened to the point where she couldn't even walk.

"I had this one moment where I couldn't even lift my legs to walk up the stairs to my apartment," Hannah admitted.

Hannah apparently had to ask a neighbor to help her walk up the stairs.

"I am young, I am able-bodied and, like, something just started to shift," Hannah explained.

"And so I went to the emergency room and they were like, 'You're okay. This is just anxiety.' And I was like, 'Well, I have no color in my legs. They're actually purple.'"

Hannah said she was "tested for everything" and knew something was going on "for sure."

Looking back on her health crisis now, Hannah thinks all the stress she had gone through essentially wreaked havoc on her body.

"I think I got 10 different diagnoses," Hannah complained.

The Bachelor alum therefore decided to focus on her mental health, which resulted in some improvement. She was then diagnosed with mast cell activation syndrome.

"I have really high histamine levels," Hannah said.

"So I think people can fully go on that, and I haven't been as extreme with changing everything, but just knowing that there's certain foods that are going to trigger me that have higher histamine levels [is helpful]. I was eating them every day."

Hannah noted how tomatoes and avocados, for example, were causing inflammation in her body.

Hannah said she was also "randomly" diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and was told it was "no big deal."

Hannah shared of her treatment for PCOS, "A lot of what PCOS is insulin resistance, [so] you kind of can treat it the same way that you would a diabetic. And so I did that, but I wasn't given really much support on it."

Hannah claimed that her symptoms got "worse and worse" from that point on.

"I had super irregular periods during this time and struggled with acne and weight gain," Hannah recalled.

Hannah proceeded to visit a new doctor in Los Angeles, who informed her that she had "severe" PCOS.

Hannah explained her body "hurt so bad" that she didn't work out for about a year and only had physical therapy.

While on her "rebuilding journey," Hannah received a call from Special Forces: World's Toughest Test.

"I had just gotten back into the gym, maybe a month or two [beforehand], working with a strength training coach. I was still trying to build back up my confidence of like, 'Okay, I can do things and not get hurt,'" Hannah said.

"Because I [was] just getting hurt all the time when you're so inflamed, like it was just hard."

Hannah admitted her first reaction to potentially going on the show was, "Oh no, I'm not going to be able to do this."

At the time, Hannah had just gotten to the point where she could lift weights comfortably in the gym.

"And I still just, like, took the leap of faith, and it pushed me," Hannah said.

Hannah ended up winning Special Forces, and she noted how the physically-demanding and mentally-draining adventure helped her to stop feeling weak.

Hannah explained how Special Forces made her feel very strong and was a "really powerful" turning point in her life and recovery.

As far as her love life goes, Hannah is engaged to model Adam Woolard.

Adam proposed marriage in August 2023, and then they bought their "dream" house together in October 2024 in Nashville, TN.

Hannah and Adam have been planning their 2025 wedding ever since.
