Hannah Brown witnessed Jed Wyatt say "I'm sorry" multiple times and express regret over his behavior before appearing on The Bachelorette, but she's apparently not sure how sincere those apologies really were.

"I did feel remorse from him, but I still think he tried to justify that [relationship]," Hannah told People.

Five weeks after Jed and Hannah's engagement filmed, their relationship imploded when Hannah learned disturbing details about Jed's relationship with fellow Nashville-based musician Haley Stevens prior to his The Bachelorette stint.

Jed initially told Hannah that his romance with Haley ended one week before taping commenced, but Haley told People that Jed left Nashville to film the show in March still dating her -- she claimed they even spent the night before his flew to Los Angeles together -- and Jed planned to resume their relationship once he returned home.

According to Haley, Jed repeatedly told her and was just going on the show to get some publicity for his music career and only planned to attempt to make Hannah's top five finalists.

Jed also attempted to downplay the significance of his past relationship when speaking to Hannah, saying he and Haley were never exclusive -- despite the fact they had vacationed alone together multiple times, she had met his family, he had told her "I love you" many times, and he even texted her "I love you" when he arrived in Los Angeles to begin filming The Bachelorette.

Because Jed had been dishonest with Hannah, the Bachelorette dumped him and called off their engagement.

"This is not the future I expected," Hannah explained. "I'm going through a lot of emotions right now. I'm mad, I'm sad. And other days I'm like, 'What just happened to me?'"

During the live portion of The Bachelorette finale on Tuesday night, Jed repeatedly apologized for his actions and "lacking details." He told Hannah that she had made him a better man and he was sorry for hurting her, her family and Bachelor Nation.

However, Jed defended himself by saying he never believed he could actually fall in love with a woman on a reality show and he wished he had known more about The Bachelorette before signing up for it.

In addition to apologizing for "lacking details" when he initially told Hannah about Haley, it also seemed Jed was still trying to justify his relationship with Haley and continue to claim he had actually broken-up with her before he went on The Bachelorette.

"Although I felt like I had closure on my part, I can now see that there wasn't on other people's parts," he told by Hannah.

Hannah told People her split from Jed was "heartbreaking."

"The foundation of what I believe love is is based on honesty and truth. If he loved me, wanted the best for me, why did he not give that to me? He always said he never wanted to hurt me, but he hurt me worse than anybody else did," Hannah said.

Hannah therefore felt it was necessary to call it quits with Jed because she didn't want to repeat the mistakes of her past.

"I have been in love with somebody in my past who lied to me, who cheated on me, and I tried to make it work," Hannah shared.

"But I'm not that girl anymore, and that's been something I've been so proud of. So, no matter how much it hurts, I won't allow myself to be stuck in [something] for any longer than I should be. I deserve better."

There were definitely red flags about Jed, however, throughout Hannah's journey on the show.

Jed not only admitted during his first one-on-one date with Hannah that he chose to do the show to promote his music career, but the singer's family also suggested Jed was not ready to settle down or get engaged.

During his hometown visit, Jed's family seemed very skeptical about Hannah and Jed's relationship.

But Hannah ignored those warning signs, telling the magazine, "I was really insecure."

"I knew that no guy was actually there for me because they didn't know who the Bachelorette was going to be. And I was the dark horse. So, Jed being honest [was] refreshing. He didn't come for me, but he liked me. And that's what made me initially start to fall for him," Hannah confessed.

Hannah thought she had found her "perfect ending" with Jed in Greece, but now she's ready to move on. (Maybe even with her runner-up, Tyler Cameron, who accepted her date invitation during the live finale).

"There will be some happy days, and some sad days in between, but it's a journey that I'm blessed I get to have. Y'all haven't seen the last of me yet!" she teased.
