Prime Video announced Monday it wrapped filming on the third and final season of its boarding school drama Maxton Hall -- The World Between Us.
Prime Video said the show's "epic love story" will reach its "emotional finale" in the final season. The service said Maxton Hall is its most-watched international original series of all time.
"The worldwide success underscores the importance of locally produced originals on Prime Video and makes the series one of the biggest international streaming highlights of the year," a Prime Video release said.
Season 3 picks up with Ruby's (Harriet Herbig-Matten) expulsion from Maxton Hall College and her suspicion that partner James (Damian Hardung) is to blame.
"A slap in the face that not only endangers Ruby's Oxford dream but also puts their love to a severe test," a synopsis of the season reads."While Ruby and James do everything to save Ruby's graduation, their environment and James' circle of friends get caught in an emotional whirlwind that completely disrupts the existing order. Ruby and James painfully realize: Their worlds couldn't be further apart, and not everything is as it seems."
The series also stars Sonja WeiiŸer, Eidin Jalali, Ben Felipe, Fedja van Huet, Runa Greiner, Justus Riesner, Govinda Gabriel, Andrea Guo, Frederic Balonier, Eli Riccardi and Dagny Dewath.
