Farrah Abraham, who reportedly underwent $16,000 worth of plastic surgery on her face early last month, says she changed her look partially because people were always criticizing her.

"I waited a lot of years and I dealt with a lot of criticism about certain things on my face, and once I turned 21 I still felt that I wanted to change that, so I did," the Teen Mom star, who received a nose job and chin implant, told Us Weekly.

While the reality TV star and mom to three-year-old Sophia also got breast implants for $5,000 in 2011 to self-admittedly help build her confidence, she told Us she didn't necessarily get her recent rhinoplasty and chin implant procedures done for the same reason.

"I'm done with thinking about [the criticism] and I don't have to think about my face. I just put makeup on, or not, and I go... I've always been confident. [People's comments were] just something that annoyed me," Abraham explained.

Abraham reportedly went under the knife on October 7 in Bal Harbour, FL and plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauerin performed the operation. According to Us, the aspiring model -- who said in September she was in the process of finalizing a deal to star in her own new MTV reality series -- was able to take off her bandages seven days later.

As for what Abraham's family and friends think about her transformation, she said they "don't care" and neither does she because she doesn't like to talk about her looks.

MTV's fourth season of Teen Mom -- which also starred Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood -- was the show's last season, and its finale aired on August 28.

Teen Mom's first season premiered on the network in December 2009 after Abraham, Bookout, Lowell, and Portwood had their unexpected pregnancies chronicled on the first season of the network's 16 & Pregnant reality series. Teen Mom quickly became one of MTV's biggest hits, resulting in the network debuting its second edition in July 2010 and premiering Teen Mom 2 around the same time the following year.

Teen Mom 2's third season premiered on Monday, November 12 at 10PM ET/PT on MTV. While an official premiere date for Teen Mom 3 has yet to be announced, the network revealed the identities of its four cast members earlier this month.
