Jessica Sierra, a former finalist on the U.S. hit TV series "American Idol," was arrested early Sunday on drug and assault charges.

Fox News reported that police in Tampa, Fla., arrested Sierra, who was a finalist in the show's fourth season. She faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of cocaine.

Sierra, who became known for her remake of "Total Eclipse of the Heart," is reportedly being held at a Tampa area jail on $11,500 bond. She faces arraignment this week.
