Emily Maynard is reportedly pissed off Dancing with the Stars didn't select her for the show's sixteenth-season celebrity cast.

"She is angry," a show insider of the 27-year-old single mom from Charlotte, NC, told Us Weekly.

"[Emily] desperately wanted" to compete on the reality dancing competition, said another source.

Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron and co-host Brooke Burke announced the new cast live on ABC's Tuesday Good Morning America broadcast.

Maynard was notably absent from the lineup although early December reports claimed the reality TV star had signed on to commit to doing Dancing with the Stars when she initially inked her The Bachelorette contract.

According to a source close to Maynard, she "badly" wants to remain in the limelight.

"Who wouldn't? It looks like fun!" the source told Us.

While Dancing with the Stars will still announce a twelfth "mystery" celebrity at a later date, the current cast only includes five men -- prompting speculation the final celebrity will be The Bachelor star Sean Lowe, whom TMZ had reported would be part of Dancing with the Stars' sixteenth-season cast this past weekend.

Dancing with the Stars' sixteenth season will premiere Monday, March 18 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC -- one week after the finale of Lowe's currently-airing The Bachelor edition airs in the same time period on March 11.
