Lightyear Entertainment announced Thursday it is rereleasing Diane Keaton's feature film directorial debut in theaters. The documentary Heaven opens Nov. 14.

Keaton directed the 1987 documentary that explored the concept of the afterlife. She interviewed religious authorities and followers, along with celebrities like Don King, Victoria Sellers and her own family.

The documentary also includes film clips and songs dealing with the afterlife. The score is by Howard Shore and soundtrack includes Lionel Richie, The Residents, The Dream Academy and Sam Cooke.

Keaton would go on to direct Belinda Carlisle music videos, episodes of Twin Peaks and China Beach, and the feature films Unstrung Heroes and Hanging Up.

The Oscar-winning actress died Oct. 11 at 79. Her family later disclosed the cause of death as pneumonia according to People.
