Denise Richards' new reality series has found a home.

The currently-untitled reality series about the 36-year-old actress and single mom will air on E! and is scheduled to debut this summer.

"At the core of this series is a resilient single mom who is trying to get her life back on track," said E! executive vice president Lisa Berger. "The show will give viewers an inside look at what it's like for Denise to go through these ups and downs while always in the public eye."

Ryan Seacrest Productions will produce the series, and Eliot Goldberg -- the production company's senior vice president of production and development -- told Daily Variety the American Idol host and Richards have been discussing the project "for quite some time."

Reports began to surface last month that Richards had a deal in place for a primetime reality series that would focus on her "picking up the pieces of her life after her mother's death."  Richards' mom passed away on December 1 due to cancer.

However Richards had a hurdle to clear if she wanted her two young children to co-star with her in the show, as her ex-husband Charlie Sheen had refused to allow the divorced couple's two daughters -- 3-year-old Sam and 2-year-old Lola -- to appear onscreen (Richards and Sheen's divorce had been finalized in November).

Despite Sheens' objection due to what he felt was "exploitative of the children for the mother's own vanity and greed," Richards reportedly got the okay in Los Angeles Superior Court to allow the two children to appear in the show.

The hearing was closed to the public, and some unknown "general ground rules" and "certain restrictions" were put in place.

Ryan Seacrest Productions currently co-produces E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality series, which the network recently renewed for a second-season that will premiere next month.  In addition, Seacrest's production company also produced E!'s Spring 2007 Paradise City reality series.

Seacrest and Richards will executive produce the new reality series.
