"It does [bother me]," Jenna, 28, toldUs Weekly of people asking her when she's going to have a baby.
"I think it's a really insensitive question, actually, because... you never know what somebody is going through. And the amount of DMs and comments -- you know, 'babies on the brain' and 'when are you going to have a baby?' -- it adds pressure but also it's nobody's business."
Jenna said although she is in the public eye, people have "no idea what [she's] gone through."
"[People don't know] what we want in the future," Jenna explained, speaking on behalf of Val as well.
"And so, I think [Peta Murgatroyd] is a great example of that, of like, 'You are just adding salt to the wound."
Peta, who has served as a professional partner on Dancing with the Stars on and off since 2011, broke the news to People that she has been struggling to keep a pregnancy after welcoming her first child, her son Shai, with husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who is Val's brother, in January 2017.
Peta, 35, recalled having three miscarriages in two years, with her third miscarriage having taken place in October 2021, when Maksim was away working in Ukraine as a judge on their version of Dancing with the Stars.
"She's kept it very private for the past two years," Jenna shared of her sister-in-law.
"So when I saw the beautiful piece that they did and that she finally opened up, I just called her and told her how proud I am of her, because I know how much heartbreak that brought her and how badly she wants another baby."
The pro dancer and choreographer added, "Let's just avoid being in people's business about that kind of stuff. If I'm not asking you, just probably don't ask me."

Val and Jenna tied the knot on April 13, 2019 in a romantic ceremony overlooking the ocean at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palo Verdes, CA.
