Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke has revealed she tested positive for coronavirus, which will naturally also have an impact on her celebrity partner, Peloton instructor Cody Rigsby.

Cheryl, 37, took to Instagram on Sunday night, one day before she was set to take the Dancing with the Stars stage with Cody for their second dance of Season 30, and posted a video, which she captioned, "Have some difficult news to share."

Cheryl revealed in the video she was on her way to take a COVID-19 test at 7AM and feeling "scared and at a loss for words."

"I do feel run down a little bit, and I feel really sad because I don't want to let Cody down, and our friggin [Week 1] salsa was so good," Cheryl said as she documented herself driving to get tested.

"I'm fully vaccinated, fully Moderna vaccinated. Blood type, in case anyone is wondering, O positive and I could still have gotten COVID. This is crazy. Okay, wish me luck."

Cheryl paused the video and later returned, when she revealed she had received "some really bad news."

"I am positive, which means I have COVID. I just got the news now [around 4PM in Los Angeles]. I've been feeling progressively worse, but yeah, the PCR test came back, and it came back positive," Cheryl explained.

"I feel so bad for Cody," she continued, breaking down into tears. "I feel like I'm letting him down. I just feel like sh-t, to be quite honest. And it's so overwhelming because it's Sunday, and the show's tomorrow."

"But yeah, I figured I should let you guys know since I've been as open and as real and vulnerable as I could be here," the pro dancer and choreographer shared.

"I just hope I didn't spread it. For those of you who don't think COVID is a real thing, it's f-cking real, dude."

Cheryl revealed she was ordered to stay home and "quarantine for 10 days."

Cheryl confirmed she'll be resting in her bed and added, "I can't believe this happened."

It is unclear at this time how Cheryl's diagnosis will affect Cody's stint on Dancing with the Stars, but it's presumed he will continue competing with a substitute pro dancer until Cheryl is better and can return COVID-19 free.

During the premiere of Dancing with the Stars last week, Cheryl and Cody performed a tango to "Physical" by Dua Lipa, and they received 24 out of 40 possible points from Dancing with the Stars judges Len Goodman, Derek Hough, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli.

Prior to the debut of Dancing with the Stars' new season, Cheryl opened up to her followers on Instagram about the fears and concerns she was having in regards to performing and being on TV again.

"Confession time -- this may be my 24th time doing #dwts, and even though I'm SO excited, I also have major nerves," Cheryl captioned a video of herself.

"Doing this show sober has really made me realize my every insecurity and the amount of pressure I put on myself, which is tough. Just wanted to be honest with you all because I know sometimes it can look like this stuff is easy for us, but that wouldn't be real."

She added in the caption, "That being said, I love my partner and love all of you so it's going to be a great night. Thanks for always supporting and get those voting fingers ready for tonight!"

In her video, Cheryl, who is about two-years sober after struggling with alcohol abuse, said it's been "scary for" her to go through the Dancing with the Stars process sober, although she's very clear-headed and "grateful for this opportunity."

"But to say I don't have these insecurities -- my body dysmorphia, my feeling of wanting to throw up or finding the nearest exit -- is definitely a lie," Cheryl shared.

"I do this because I love it, and no matter... what you hear in the press, like I'm retiring or whatever, that for me isn't definitive. Yes, my body hurts. Yes, my mental state at times may not be up to par to what this show expects, but at the end of the day... this is just a dance show."

Cheryl has already won Dancing with the Stars twice, and she noted the show is "not about winning."

"And it's honestly not about me, it's about [Cody]," Cheryl insisted.

"But the pressure I put on myself sometimes is just so intense and not realistic. I just want to remind you guys that I'm human... I am so excited and my partner is so excited, and we can't wait to show you what we have in store," she concluded.

Dancing with the Stars airs its next two-hour Season 30 episode Monday night at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
