"Hey Everyone, I have tested positive for COVID 19," Carrie Ann wrote.
"I'm home with some symptoms and will be sequestering as per the CDC guidelines, resting and taking care of myself."
Carrie Ann expressed surprise that she had contracted the widespread virus despite claiming to be careful.
"I have been in a very safe environment following all the guidelines and safety protocols and it still found it's way to me. So, this is a friendly reminder to be extra careful this holiday season," Carrie Ann continued in her post.
"Wear your masks, socially and physically keep your distance, and wash your hands. Take care everyone. And I'll keep you updated on my journey."
In a video accompanying her post, Carrie Ann spoke to her followers directly while appearing cozy in bed with no makeup on.
"I have a fever and a bad cough and lots of aches and pains," Carrie Ann explained of her symptoms.
"And I just wanted to remind you all to stay vigilant because I'm following all the protocols and we have so many strict protocols in place, and even then I caught it."
The longtime Dancing with the Stars judge added, "Take care of yourselves and wear your masks, please, and wash your hands. It's a lot but just be extra, extra careful, because you don't want this, okay?"

She concluded her video by assuring fans that she's going to be okay.
"I'm going to take care of myself, so you don't worry about me! Take care and be safe," Carrie Ann.
Carrie Ann appeared on Dancing with the Stars' Season 29 live finale, which aired on November 24, but there was no audience in the ballroom due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and fellow judges Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli were asked to sit at the judges' table six feet apart from one another.
