From reports that she's a "total diva" on set to judge Bruno Tonioli calling her "crap," Kate Gosselin hasn't had the best support during her Dancing with the Stars stint.

However co-host Brooke Burke claims she is pulling for the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star.

"I have such a soft spot for her," Burke told Us Weekly in a Friday report.  "I want her to pull through just as a woman and a mother. I want her to be able to conquer it even if it's only for one night."

Gosselin and her professional partner Tony Dovolani haven't received rave reviews -- or scores -- from the judges during the first three weeks of the competition, and Burke agreed that the show's judges "aren't really making anything up."

"I just wish they would give her a little bit of a break," Burke told Us. "She has got it a little tougher than everybody else."

In addition, Burke said she has personally bonded with Gosselin backstage.

"She is nice and warm and so kind and approachable. I have this great relationship with her," she told Us before adding, "as soon as the cameras go on something happens."

While Gosselin has denied reports that she's been a "total diva" on Dancing with the Stars, a source told Us that she "acts like a major celebrity" while another claimed that she is the "worst dancer" with a "nasty" personality.

However Burke said she has yet to see that.

"I haven't seen that side of Kate," Burke told Us. "Not one ounce."

Despite having a "great relationship" with her, Burke said she's unsure how Gosselin is dealing with her ex-husband Jon Gosselin's recent court filing for primary custody of their eight children.

"I don't know how she is managing it all, honestly," Burke told Us. "Aside from being scared to death, she's okay."
