Ford and Chmerkovskiy joined TV talk show host Jerry Springer and Kym Johnson as the bottom two couples who faced elimination based on judges' scores and viewer voting, said "Dancing with the Stars" Web site and WCPO TV in Cincinnati.

The audience booed when it was announced that Ford and Chmerkovskiy were eliminated, reports said.

Former "Save by the Bell" star Mario Lopez and his partner Karina Smirnoff and "High School Musical" co-star Monique Coleman and her partner Louis Van Amstel were the first two remaining couples revealed to be safe.

Springer and Johnson danced an encore samba to "Hot Legs" performed by musical guest Rod Stewart, who also did a cover of "Fooled Around and Fell in Love."
