The America's Best Dance Crew judge and former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department around 8AM on Friday on the felony warrant charging him molestation -- including a lewd act upon a child, TMZ reported.

The alleged molestation began in July 1994 and continued for several years, according to a copy of the criminal complaint obtained by TMZ.

The L.A. County District Attorney's office filed the criminal complaint and charged the 40-year-old with eight incidents of alleged molestation with an underage girl,  including oral copulation and other acts "with the intent of arousing, appealing to, and gratifying the lust, passions, and sexual desires of the defendant, who was at least 10 years older than [the victim]," according to TMZ.

Sparks is currently being held on $590,000 bail and is the second former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer to be arrested on sexual abuse charges this year.

Former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Alex Da Silva was arrested in August and charged with four counts of forcible rape, two counts of assault with intent to commit rape and two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object.

He subsequently pleaded not guilty and has claimed it was consensual sex.
