Crystal Bowersox has gotten married.

The ninth-season American Idol runner-up has confirmed she wed musician Brian Walker in Chicago on Sunday.

"Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now," Bowersox told People. "I can't believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found so much laughter, love, and light within each other. We're one happy WalkerSox family."

Bowersox and Walker wed in a ceremony held at the club where they met during an "Open Mic Night" six years ago, according to People.

Sixty friends and family reportedly attended -- including fellow ninth-season American Idol finalist Didi Benami and Tony, Bowersox's one-year-old son from a previous relationship.  Tony served as the ring bearer at the ceremony, which was led by reverend Michael Teach from Chicago Acoustic Underground.

Bowersox wore an Earth-friendly hemp and cotton gown created by Vermont designer Tara Lynn while Walker and several of his musician friends performed at the reception, which featured a laughing Buddha cake from a local organic bakery.

Bowersox and Walker began dating this summer and got engaged last month.

Bowersox split with former boyfriend Tony Kusian the morning before she took the stage with Lee Dewyze for American Idol's final ninth-season performance show on May 25.

While Bowersox initially described her split with Kusian as a "mutual" decision based on his desire to maintain their prior "small town" lifestyle, she later admitted it had surprised her.

"[It] did shock me," she said.  "I woke up Tuesday morning and he just had an epiphany. He wanted a simple, quiet life and I respect that. I'm glad he told me instead of sticking it out and realizing it later that he would be unhappy."

The 25-year-old from Toledo, OH signed with 19 Recordings/Jive Records after Idol's finale.  Her debut album will be released later this year.
