Colton Underwood claims he was "silenced" during Peter Weber's The Bachelor season and feels "sorry" for the pilot as he feels the show's producers allegedly had too much control over his relationships.

Colton, who starred on Season 23 of The Bachelor last year, expressed his feelings on the shocking ending of Peter's The Bachelor edition in a Q&A session with fans in his Instagram Stories on Friday, according to the Daily Mail.

"Since I was silenced this season and opted to not watch it, I can't go into detail," Colton, 28, reportedly wrote to a fan, who asked for his thoughts on Peter's season.

"What I can say is I feel like it was way overproduced and both parties could have done a much better job (Peter and production)."

On The Bachelor this season, Madison Prewett was Peter's frontrunner for his final rose but quit the show before the Final Rose Ceremony because she worried their lifestyles were too different and she didn't want him to change for her.

Madison feared loving each other would always be an uphill battle because they simply weren't compatible.

Peter therefore proposed marriage to Hannah Ann at the Final Rose Ceremony because she had been so open and reassuring about her love for him.

But Peter blindsided and broke up with Hannah Ann -- she claims she got dumped in January -- after realizing he couldn't give the bachelorette his entire heart.

"Peter could have stood up for himself and put his foot down when the TV show part of things started to control his relationships," Colton continued.

"Production could have helped guide him better."

Following Peter's split with Hannah Ann, The Bachelor host Chris Harrison played matchmaker and informed Madison -- who admitted she regretting leaving Peter in Australia and still loved him -- that Peter was single again, setting up a reunion for the pair that ultimately resulted in them getting back together on The Bachelor's March 10 live finale.

However, Peter's family had no shame in voicing their disapproval of Peter and Madison's revived romance during the finale, and Peter and Madison announced via Instagram on March 12 they've mutually decided to part ways.

"I spoke about how at some points you have to use your gut and trust them in my book with examples. I do feel very sorry for Pete," Colton concluded.

When Colton starred on The Bachelor in 2019, his season ended prematurely when he fell in love with and selected Cassie Randolph over his other two remaining bachelorettes, Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin.

Colton had made up his mind before even finishing out his round of overnight Fantasy Suite dates.

Cassie, however, attempted to quit The Bachelor when Colton was prepared to give her the final rose. Cassie didn't feel ready to get engaged after dating Colton for such a short period of time, and so he fought for her to stay and took pressure off the table.

Cassie was hesitant to continue but decided to stick around for Colton, and then she proceeded to meet his family on the show and fall in love with him once filming wrapped.

When asked to provide future Bachelors with some advice, Colton reportedly said on Instagram Stories, "Despite what producers tell you, you have a life after this and they don't care about you."

"It's show BUSINESS. Can't take it personally, but be smart," Colton added. "I stood up for myself and took back control of my relationship and show."

While Peter remains single, Colton and Cassie are still dating and going strong.

However, Cassie has admitted on numerous occasions she feels no rush to live with Colton or get engaged, although she says she can definitely envision a future with Colton.
