But before the Rose Ceremony, Cody was confronted by fellow The Bachelorette bachelor Aaron Clancy in an angry manner, and viewers weren't provided any context behind their feud.

"I don't like you, bro. Like, I've never liked you, and that's fine. We don't have to talk at all. And it's not my fault I don't like you," Aaron told Cody in private.

Cody replied, "Well, you don't like me, so that is your fault," to which Aaron countered, "I'm literally just telling you exactly what's up."

Cody appeared confused and responded, "Alright, I don't agree with anything you said. I don't think there was a need for that at all."

Cody told the cameras he didn't know what Aaron was talking about, so there will certainly be more from these two when The Bachelorette continues.

According to ABC, "Cody is a handsome surfer with a six pack, but he's a romantic gentleman at heart."

Will Katie get to see Cody's romantic side or will he be too caught up in drama to properly woo The Bachelorette star?

Cody says he really values authentic connections

Cody claims he has no trouble being transparent with his feelings. He prefers to put everything out there for better or for worse.

Cody is looking for a woman who will see past his looks and want to dive deeper to find out who he really is and what he's all about.

The bachelor wants a partner who is self-sufficient, socially confident, and willing to push him and work together with him to drive the relationship forward.

Cody says that when he falls, he falls hard. He told ABC he's the type of guy who buys flowers for no reason and will surprise his love in the morning with breakfast in bed.

Cody and Aaron's feud is reportedly explained

According to a source, Cody and Aaron have "mutual friends" at home and hung out in the same social circle before competing for Katie's heart, Us Weekly reported.

The guys reportedly "have seen each other in town" around San Diego but didn't have a problem with each other until Night 1 of The Bachelorette season.

Aaron confronted Cody on the first night of filming to question Cody's intentions and criticize his decision to bring a blow-up doll with him, another insider told the magazine.

Us obtained a preview of The Bachelorette's second episode airing on June 14 that shows Aaron alleging Cody is "not here for the right reason."

The opposing forces also apparently wrestle in the mud during a group date.

"Cody's scrappy, he's going to really go for it," Aaron reportedly says ahead of their fight in the promo clip. "I don't think anything he's going to do is ever going to come close to beating me."

Aaron then reportedly tells the cameras in a confessional, "Cody and I know each other from back home. I've never been a fan and he knows it."
