The 30-year-old model and other celebrities defended Kardashian online after several social media users made light of the reality star being robbed at gunpoint in Paris.

"Some [expletive] just isn't funny. I see you trying, but it isn't," Teigen wrote.

"Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you'd make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets."

"It's hard to explain because everyone thinks money and fame is pure awesome, so it just sounds whiny. I get it, trust me," she added.

"It is just a weird little world that I cannot expect anyone to get. I know it seems super awesome and laughable."

"Please do not think that I think celebrities are special snowflakes," the star qualified. "I just miss empathy, in general, for everyone."

Kardashian was in her hotel room Sunday evening when two men gained entry and stole her cell phone and millions of dollars worth of jewelry.

Her husband, Kanye West, was performing in New York at the time and abruptly ended his concert.

"People making jokes about @KimKardashian tonight would do well to remember that she's a mother, a daughter, a wife, a friend. Be nice or shut up," "The Late Late Show" host James Corden tweeted.

"Just heard about @KimKardashian being robbed @gun point. So glad she's okay. Kim you're a wife, mother, sister & praying woman. #Godsgotyou," television personality Sherri Shepherd later wrote.

Kardashian's rep said in a statement after the incident that the mom-of-two was "badly shaken but physically unharmed."

The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star married West in 2014 and is mom to daughter North West and son Saint West.
