Tuesday Night Book Club, a docu-reality series that followed the lives of a group of upper middle class women in Scottsdale, Arizona, premiered Tuesday, June 13 at 10PM ET/PT. Representing CBS's first foray into the "docu-soap" sub-genre that MTV's Laguna Beach is credited with revitalizing, Book Club was supposed to run for eight episodes.

Airing Tuesdays at 10PM ET/PT, Tuesday Night Book Club's June 13 premiere drew only 5.07 million viewers and finished a distant third in its time period. The premiere finished 47th in the week's primetime viewership rankings. This week's second episode did even worse, averaging only an estimated 4.13 million viewers.

A 48 Hours Mystery repeat will fill Book Club's hour next week, after which a Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular special will air in the show's July 4 time period.

CBS has not announced whether Tuesday Night Book Club's six remaining episodes will air later this summer. Beginning July 11, Tuesday Night Book Club was scheduled to, along with Big Brother 7: All-Stars and Rock Star: Supernova, form an all-reality CBS Tuesday night summer lineup.
