Reports have circulated for months Bruce Jenner really wants nothing to do with cameras and Keeping Up with the Kardashians -- however that has apparently changed.

The 65-year-old former Olympian will be starring in an upcoming docu-reality series which will chronicle his changes in life and journey -- which is widely believed to be the process of becoming a woman -- and is slated to premiere in May or June on E!, TMZ reported.

According to sources close to show production, Jenner will be calling all the shots and the shooting will revolve around him. The series will allegedly feature Jenner visiting doctors, talking about his goals and potential procedures, and dealing with the psychological implications of his decisions.

It's a "completely separate project" from Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and Jenner reportedly doesn't want his show to air until the family series concludes.

Jenner's family -- including his daughters, sons and ex-wife of over 22 years -- will make appearances on the show but won't be a central part. Kris Jenner reportedly won't have a say in things.

"Bruce is very happy -- the happiest I've ever seen him. And he's our dad... I think when the time is right, he'll talk about whatever he wants to talk about," Kim Kardashian recently told Entertainment Tonight.

Jenner has fueled rumors he may be transgender for a while by shaving down his Adam's apple, growing his hair long and painting his fingernails.

Earlier this month, In Touch Weekly photoshopped its cover to feature Jenner wearing women's clothing and bright coral-colored makeup all over his face. A source had told Us Weekly that Jenner is "upset" about it and will address his changing appearance personally during Keeping Up with the Kardashians' tenth season.
