Brendan Morais is one of Tayshia Adams' Final 4 bachelors who will receive a "hometown" date on The Bachelorette's sixteenth season.

Brendan is a 30-year-old commercial roofer from Milford, MA.

Tayshia found herself smitten with Brendan early on in her adventure to find love, telling the cameras, "I feel really connected to him... I don't think I've felt this way ever."

But when Brendan took a lie-detector test during a group date and was asked some tough questions about potentially having a future with Tayshia, his results came back inconclusive, which told Tayshia he may not be ready to introduce her to his family or to propose marriage.

Brendan, however, assured the cameras that he was crazy about Tayshia and said, "[She] is a really unique woman, for sure. She is sweet and genuine, and I do feel Tayshia and I have a real connection."

Nicknamed "BMoney" by his friends, Brendan is reportedly very family-oriented and takes pride in his work and appearance.


The Bachelorette bachelor was a star athlete in high school

Brendan attended Bethany Christian Academy in Mendon, MA, and played on the basketball team as a point guard.

Brendan scored 1,000 points in high school and was named the team's MVP one year and team captain his senior year, according to the newspaper.


Brendan also played basketball in college

Brendan graduated high school in 2007 and then studied at MassBay Community College in Wellesley, MA.

Brendan played for the Mass Bay Community College basketball team.

In 2011, Dan told the newspaper Brendan returned to his high school to coach boys middle school and junior varsity basketball until 2013.

Brendan has been married and divorced before, just like Tayshia

Brendan got married in his early twenties to his high school sweetheart.

Brendan said their families had been friends since the pair were in elementary school and getting married just seemed like the next step for them as a couple.

Brendan says infidelity, abuse or addiction played no role in his divorce

Brendan admits he and his former wife just fell out of love and they weren't ready for a lifelong commitment.

"I didn't know who I was without her, and she didn't really know who she was without me," Brendan has explained. "We did counseling and it was definitely hard for me knowing that I failed to a certain extent."

Brendan says his family couldn't comprehend why Brendan wanted to get divorced and so he and his ex stuck it out and tried counseling. However, Brendan finally felt the need to part ways once he learned children weren't in his wife's future.


Brendan longs to be a father and have a family of his own

Brendan lost his father at a young age and believes his purpose in life is to become a father one day.

Brendan once moved to Los Angeles for his career but eventually returned to Massachusetts and took on a job in the family business in order to be closer to his family, including his beloved nieces and nephews.

When Tayshia told Brendan she'd like to have five children, it didn't scare him at all!

Brendan Morais' career extends beyond the roofing business

Brendan is a model signed to multiple modeling agencies, and he's also an aspiring actor who played a small role in a major film that was in theaters.

According to Brendan's older brother Dan Morais, Brendan made his acting debut as a Russian thug in The Equalizer starring Denzel Washington, MetroWest Daily News reported.

Dan told the magazine it was "definitely really cool" to see his little brother on the big screen.

Brendan has also appeared in Get Rich Free, Chances, and Ace of Spades.


Brendan has also starred in a handful of commercials!

According to his profile on Maggie Agency, Brendan has represented major brands in commercials such as Jeep, Truly Hard Seltzer, and Joseph A. Bank.

The Bachelorette host says Brendan is "a lovable roofer from Boston"

Chris Harrison gushed about Brendan when announcing Clare Crawley's The Bachelorette cast before the show premiered.

"It's very interesting because he has a Portuguese family but also from Boston, so imagine a Portuguese-Boston dialect and accent. It's very interesting," Chris explained.

"He's... quiet and soft-spoken -- but he turned it on when it counts the most."

Brendan believes he is a sensitive soul and a true romantic.

Brendan's brother and Chris Harrison also both agree that Brendan is a very "humble" man despite his handsome looks and professional modeling career.
