Ben Higgins leaped at the chance to star on The Bachelor, but that doesn't necessarily apply to Dancing with the Stars.

Higgins, whose The Bachelor season is coming to a close in less than two weeks, admitted he's not sold on the idea of competing on the upcoming season of ABC's reality dancing competition.

"I'm not against any opportunity that presents itself," Higgins told E! News backstage at the taping of The Women Tell All. "I need to analyze if that option was there to say, 'Okay, is this the best thing for me?' I don't know yet, I don't."

The 27-year-old software salesman from Denver, CO, might fear how Dancing with the Stars could negatively impact his relationship with his new fiancee -- either flight attendant Lauren Bushnell or real estate developer Joelle "JoJo" Fletcher.

Season 19 Bachelor Chris Soules' engagement to Whitney Bischoff ended shortly after his stint on DWTS did. Sources claimed Soules got caught up in fame and Bischoff was envious of his chemistry with pro dancer Witney Carson.

Similarly, former Bachelor Sean Lowe recently admitted the show "messed with" his head and he didn't pay enough attention to his now-wife Catherine Giudici while attempting to further his career on DWTS.

Former Bachelor Jake Pavelka and former Bachelorette Trista Rehn also competed on Dancing with the Stars after handing out roses. Former The Bachelor bachelorette Melissa Rycroft also competed on the show after her rejection by Bachelor Jason Mesnick (and later returned to compete on -- and win -- Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars).

"I don't want to say this is the way I'm going to go with it because I haven't decided," Higgins said.

It hasn't been confirmed whether Higgins was definitely asked to participate in the 22nd season of Dancing with the Stars, however, producers routinely ask fan-favorites from the franchise to join the cast.

The only confirmed Dancing with the Stars contestants so far are Good Morning America meteorologist Ginger Zee and Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin. Zee has been paired with pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy, while Sweetin has been matched up with Keo Motsepe.

Additional celebrity names have been leaked, however, including America's Next Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco and The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Fields. The official cast in its entirety will be announced Tuesday, March 8 on GMA.

Dancing with the Stars is set to premiere Monday, March 21 at 8PM ET/PT on ABC.
